Hello, All.

Here is the Gahanna Police Department report for February. If you have questions about it, contact them directly.
There’s also a note from the City of Gahanna offering shredding and recycling service on April 21 – looks like a good deal

Also, the City of Gahanna Parks department is in major need of Lifeguards for city pools this summer, contact them if you have someone in need of a summer job.

Finally, the City of Gahanna and the central Ohio Emergency Management Bureau has scheduled a Tornado Alarm TEST for March 28 at 9:50 a.m. so be advised

Raked Leaves by GLHS Interact Club

A note from Emily Straub:

Once again, The GLHS Interact Club will be offering their services to our community. We will be raking leaves on Saturday, October 29. We ask for donations only, which will be contributed to the Rotary sponsored Purple Pinkies, a service project to help eradicate polio from the world. If you are interested, please contact Emily Straub at straube@gjps.org.

We may not be able to accommodate everyone, so we schedule on a first-come, first-served basis. Email me as soon as possible to reserve your spot. We will send students to arrive at your home around 9:30am and stay until the job is finished. We will bring our own rakes, but please provide your own lawn bags.

Columbus Academy Celebrates 100 Years

On Friday, September 23, Columbus Academy will celebrate its 100th birthday and everyone from the Villages of Gahanna is invited!

Event Schedule:

6-8pm – Centennial Birthday Party and Street Fair (next to the Academy football field). There will be birthday cake, ice cream, children’s games, farmer’s market, face painters, balloons and more!

7:15pm – Skydivers deliver the gameball

7:30pm – Columbus Academy v. Newark Catholic football

Halftime – Centennial presentation

Postgame – FIREWORKS!

CANCELED: Free food, drinks, games at Ashburnham Park

The following event was canceled due to weather. Parks & Rec will try to reschedule at a later date.

The City of Gahanna Department of Parks & Recreation will be hosting Party in Your Park at Ashburnham Park on July 20, 2011 from 6-8pm. The event will include free food, beverages, games for residents of the neighborhood. Activities include music, corn hole, 3-hole mini golf, giant yard games, and more!

We hope to see you there!

Community Garage Sale June 10-11, 9am-4pm

The Villages of Gahanna Homeowners Association has scheduled its community garage sale for Friday, June 10 and Saturday, June 11, from 9-4. All homeowners are welcome to participate. VOGHA requests a $3 donation per home to cover the cost of signs and classified advertising. (This donation is waived for current association members.)

For those of you who participate, you can donate leftover items to Goodwill Columbus, AMVETS, or the Kidney Foundation.
